A modern lifestyle meets French Chateau
We built a linear frame kitchen in dark stained oak in this beautiful apartment in Gothenburg. The house is from 1894, built in French Chateau style. Together with the owner, we landed in creating a rustic wooden kitchen, but breaking it off with a site-built asymmetrical top cabinet in a contemporary design. The top cabinet was painted in the same gray color as the wall and some shelves were left open to create space in the kitchen.

The dark-stained frame kitchen was contrasted by a locally produced limestone from Kinnekulle as a worktop. A durable stone where its differences in structure, its grain and color shades make the stone very much alive. A backsplash of 10 cm was left at the back edge of the worktop. A nice finish, but also very practical.
A joy to be able to build and design a kitchen for such a conscious customer where every little detail in the house has been taken care of and highlighted. Everything from the sanded floors, to the structure and the materials.
