The bespoke Shaker kitchen

We at Nordiska Kök always recommend our customers to start from the home's architecture and original details when building a new kitchen. Then the result is a kitchen that highlights beautiful interior details in the room while you get the feeling that the kitchen has been there since the house was built - and it has never been as true as this elegant Shaker dream built in a beautiful turn-of-the-century apartment in Stockholm.

The kitchen is equipped with a professional stove from Lofra that really evokes the joy of cooking. The fan is built into the cabinet above the stove.

A large-scale splash guard in marble is not only luxurious, but also functional as it is a durable material that can be quickly wiped off after cooking.

The room itself is like a work of art with its high ceilings, beautiful wooden floors and eye-catching stucco. To create a kitchen that would fit into this beautiful environment, we built this Shaker kitchen in a dull green color with details in luxurious marble and brass.

Carrara marble is typical kitchens from the late 19th century, as is the use of brass for knobs and handles.

On one wall of the kitchen, we have built a series of tall cabinets that hold a fridge, freezer and a spacious pantry. These features are hidden behind beautiful green doors fitted with brass handles.

Tall top cabinets have been built in true Shaker style with glass cabinet doors for an elegant feel. A splash guard in Carrara marble covers the wall over the hob and oven.

The classic Shaker kitchen have been painted in a deep green tone that feels both modern and typical of the Shaker style.

Since the family who lives in the apartment likes to bake and cook together, they wanted a functional kitchen. Shaker kitchens are characterized by their sense of craftsmanship and function, and this kitchen holds a lot of that. In addition to the full wall with high cabinets that holds the fridge, freezer and a generous pantry, the kitchen is also equipped with a wine cooler, a wide double oven and an extra large hob.

To break away from the otherwise classic kitchen, the dining room table has been decorated with modern ceramics in natural colors.
