Measurement template
Below, you will find our simple measurement template to help you measure the room where the kitchen will be. If you already have drawings ready, you can of course use those. However, please note that even if your drawing is to scale, we still would like you to include the measurements. This is to ensure that your design sketch is accurate from the start.
Upload the measurements via the link you received in the email “Next step with Nordiska Kök”.
If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact us at contact@nordiskakok.se.
1. Start by measuring all the walls and make a sketch of the room. If you already have an idea about where cabinets and kitchen island etc. should be, feel free to draw this as well.
2. The easiest way is to draw each wall separately as you see it from the front and name the walls A, B, C, etc.
3. Mark on the sketch where water, drainage and possible ventilation for the fan are located.
4. Now, draw windows and doors. Measure from wall to window/door frame. Enter the width of the frame. Measure the width of the window/door and height. Measure floor to windows.
5. Does the room have radiators or window sills that protrude where the kitchen should be? Then you indicate how wide they are and how much they protrude from the wall.
6. Measure the ceiling height in several places in the room as this can be important when planning for cupboards. Enter the lowest and highest dimensions on the floor plan.
