The kitchen with its classic Shaker doors has been painted in a calm green tone which is both very much in time right now but which is also typical of the Shaker style. To match the functionally elegant doors to the room, details in shiny brass has been added.
On the opposite side from the beautiful stove and display cabinets is a site-built row of tall cabinets that hide the fridge, freezer and pantry. This creates the unique feeling in the meeting between the green doors and the brass handles.
To further emphasize the kitchen's crown jewel - the stove and the oven, the display cabinets on each side have been made extra far down the wall. In total symmetry with this, the back splash in Carrara marble has been clad in the entire wall between the display cabinet and stove, unlike the other row of benches where the back splash is about one decimeter.
By centering the extra deep oven between two equally deep cabinets, you further enhance the impression and the entire kitchen attracts a slow-cooking and three-course meal. The fan is built into the cabinet above the stove.
Carrara marble is typical of kitchens from the late 19th century. It is an equal parts practical as well as beautiful material.
If you want a feeling of timeless elegance in your kitchen, you can add elements such as the beautiful display cabinets, the elegant brass handles and the classic Carrara marble. The layout of the various parts is reminiscent of historical craftsmanship and carpentry and is perfectly suited to the turn-of-the-century apartment.
The walls in the calm kitchen are painted in a beige tone that fits perfectly with the green-painted doors and the white-pigmented wooden floor.
