Marble means "shiny stone" and is a lime-based stone known for its beautiful veins, shifting shades of color and the charm of each stone being completely unique. Except from a purely aesthetic perspective, the benefits of marble are many. A stone slab lasts a long time and with regular care it is almost indestructible. This makes the material an excellent choice for the kitchen.

Calacatta Vagli Oro

Calacatta vagli Oro is an exclusive Italian marble quarried in Vagli Di Sotto in the Tuscan region. What characterizes this particular marble is its intense golden tone found in the vein. In Italy, this stone is popular for decorating kitchens, but also for dressing entire walls and floors, as well as building fountains.

If you choose a Calacatta Vagli Oro stone for your kitchen, you can be sure to create a wow factor that will create envy. Marble with this golden grain fits particularly well with dark stained wood. As seen in this bespoke kitchen we built together with Alexandra Ogonowski and Jesper Nyborg in a beautiful apartment on Östermalm.

Verde Alpi marble

Verde Alpi is a perfect example of a marble that offers both color and distinct veining. This wonderfully beautiful marble has an intense dark green color with light green and white quartz veins. Verde Alpi is an Italian marble with incredibly luxurious luster reminiscent of rippling waters and enchanting green emeralds. This stone will certainly add drama to your kitchen design.

Alpi marble fits just as well in a kitchen as in a luxurious bathroom and can be used as a splash guard to really become the star of the room.

Estremoz

If you are looking for an elegant and subtle marble for your kitchen, Estremoz is the right choice for you. Estremoz marble is quarried in Portugal in a village with the same name as the stone. Estremoz often has a discreet vein in an elegant grayish-white with a light pink hue.

We built a minimalist kitchen together with our customer Emelie Westell, where the doors in warm beige tone becomes a perfect canvas for the Estemoz marble. The kitchen island, which is built entirely in marble, becomes like a work of art, while it houses the kitchen's oven, stove and extra sink.

Carrara

Meet the King of Marble – Italian Carrara. It has a light grey or white base with light grey veins and is perfect for both classic and modern kitchen design. Carrara marble has been used in kitchens for several decades making it a popular choice to create a timeless feeling.

To add an extra luxurious feel to your kitchen, you can choose Carrara marble and let it cover the wall between bench and top cabinet, as a beautiful and practical splash guard. In an elegant shaker kitchen, it is perfect to match a Carrara stone in a slightly cooler tone with warm green shutters and shiny brass.

Arabescato

Arabescato is an exclusive marble from Italy. It has a large grey pattern with hints of golden tones that give a soft and luxurious feel. If you choose an Arabescato marble, there are variants with very distinct veins in white and black, but also with more subtle color changes in grayish-white. No matter what type you choose, you get a marble with a lot of character that fits well with minimally designed kitchens with a few elegant design elements.

Nero Marquina

When it comes to black marble varieties, the most famous is undoubtedly the Spanish Nero Marquina, from the Basque Country. This natural stone is a classic marble with a black base with white luscious veins, giving it a beautiful, exclusive look.

Unlike some other marble varieties such as Carrara marble, Nero Marquina marble has not been subjected to as high pressures and temperatures, which has left visible remains of fossils in this beautiful stone.
